Cardiovascular Safety of VIAN‐c4551, an Antiangiogenic Peptide Derived From Vasoinhibin

open access: yesDrug Development Research, Volume 86, Issue 7, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Vasoinhibin is a potent antiangiogenic protein that blocks the activation of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) in response to vascular endothelial growth factor, bradykinin, and acetylcholine (ACh). In this regard, VIAN‐c4551, a new synthetic vasoinhibin analog, has therapeutic potential for targeting angiogenesis in oncology and ...

Combining Network Pharmacology, Molecular Docking, and Integrative Studies to Explore the Mechanism of Helminthostachys zeylanica in Alleviating Ulcerative Colitis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 11, November 2025.
The experiment verified the mechanism of HZ against ulcerative colitis. Verified through in vivo and in vitro experiments, HZ demonstrated partial inhibition of the TLR4/NF‐κB signaling pathway, reduction in inflammatory factors IL‐6 and TNF, and the ability to suppress T cell differentiation and activation in ulcerative colitis.

Hypothalamic Astrocytes Exhibit Glycolytic Features Making Them Prone for Glucose Sensing

open access: yesGlia, Volume 73, Issue 11, Page 2253-2272, November 2025.
Main Points Hypothalamic astrocytes versus cortical astrocytes: are more glycolytic due to high Pkm2, Glut1 and Mct4 expression do not exhibit glutamate‐induced glycolysis detect glucose concentration variations via an AMPK sensor with altered lactate production.

Bone Mineral Accrual From Adolescence Into Young Adulthood and Peak Bone Mass: A Longitudinal Cohort Study

open access: yesHealth Science Reports, Volume 8, Issue 11, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Understanding bone mass accumulation patterns and factors influencing them during growth is important for preventing osteoporosis later in life. This study investigated longitudinal changes in bone mineral content (BMC), bone mineral density (BMD), and bone mineral apparent density (BMAD) during growth, with the aim of ...

Histone H3 Lysine 18 Lactylation Promotes Cardiac Hypertrophy Through Activating GATA Binding Protein 4 Signaling

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 6, Issue 11, November 2025.
Proposed model of the interaction of the H3K18la lactylation with GATA4 to promote the cardiac hypertrophy. The image was created using Home for Researchers.com. ABSTRACT Histone lactylation, particularly histone H3 lysine 18 lactylation (H3K18la), modulates gene expression profile in diverse cellular processes, which has emerged as a critical factor ...
