Analyzing the Influence of Visitor Types on Location Choices and Revisit Intentions in Urban Heritage Destinations

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information
Understanding visitors’ spatial choice behavior is important in developing effective policies to counteract overcrowdedness in attractive urban heritage areas. This research presents a comprehensive analysis of visitor location choice behavior, aiming to

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Hybrid Swin-CSRNet: A Novel and Efficient Fish Counting Network in Aquaculture

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
Real-time estimation of fish biomass plays a crucial role in real-world fishery production, as it helps formulate feeding strategies and other management decisions. In this paper, a dense fish counting network called Swin-CSRNet is proposed. Specifically,

Mapping the Schrodinger picture of open quantum dynamics

open access: yes, 2005
For systems described by finite matrices, an affine form is developed for the maps that describe evolution of density matrices for a quantum system that interacts with another. This is established directly from the Heisenberg picture.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Molecular Surface Mesh Generation by Filtering Electron Density Map

open access: yesInternational Journal of Biomedical Imaging, 2010
Bioinformatics applied to macromolecules are now widely spread and in continuous expansion. In this context, representing external molecular surface such as the Van der Waals Surface or the Solvent Excluded Surface can be useful for several applications.
