Evaluation of Various Dental Casting Alloys and Techniques-An Overview
Indian Journal of Contemporary Dentistry, 2014This article is dealing with the development of dental casting techniques and existence of the different groups of alloys used in the fabrication of ceramo-metal restoration. Various factors are Biocompatibility, good mechanical and physical properties, restoration longevity, porcelain compatibility, and manipulative technique. Esthetics plays an vital

AbstractIntroductionThis study aimed to investigate the difference between senior dental students and prosthodontic faculty members regarding their opinions, attitudes and adoption of six split‐cast techniques for remounting complete dentures. The accuracy of each technique for measurements of the vertical and the anteroposterior dimensions was ...

A cast-free approach to fabricating an implant-supported interim restoration: A dental technique
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2023A cast-free approach is described to fabricate an implant-supported interim restoration by using the postoperative cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) scan to locate the placed implant. A postoperative intraoral scan was aligned to the postoperative CBCT scan through a dental implant planning software program.

The holodent system, a new technique for measurement and storage of dental casts
American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics, 1992A system for producing holograms and for three-dimensional measuring on holograms is described. The precision of the system was evaluated when three-dimensional measurements were made on (1) a holographic image superimposed on the corresponding object and (2) two superimposed holographic images of the same object.
