Bioinspired Mechanically Robust Organic–Inorganic Hybridized Bio‐Adhesives With up to 50% Inorganic Components by Bi‐Continuous Phase Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A robust plant protein adhesive was prepared by fabricating a bi‐continuous organic–inorganic hybrid structure. Compared with traditional organic–inorganic hybrid adhesives, the addition amount of inorganic phase is increased from 0.2%–3.0% to 50%, and the strength and toughness are increased by 6 and 121 times, respectively.

Viscoelastic Properties of Silicone, Polysulfide, and Polyether Impression Materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 1974
The viscoelastic properties of nine silicone-, polysulfide-, and polyether-based impression materials were determined using creep tests. During deformation the materials demonstrated linear viscoelastic behavior.

Study on Dental Impression Materials

open access: yesTHE JOURNAL OF THE STOMATOLOGICAL SOCIETY,JAPAN, 1955
The consequence of the compression test in Alginase impression materials was informe in former paper (1), but the test needs more time than handling in clinic. As the result of measurements in various way, the reported method is confirmed that it is effective way for quality determination.Changing the ratio of impression paste-plaster has little effect

Effect of a cordless retraction paste on titanium surface: a topographic, chemical and biocompatibility evaluation

open access: yesBrazilian Oral Research, 2013
Good exposure of the preparation margins and haemostasis in the sulcular gingiva are necessary for accurate impressions to produce precise restorations. The use of cordless retraction paste material in implant dentistry is a relatively novel application.

Knowledge and Practice of Infection Control in Impression Making among the Dental Health Care Professionals

open access: yesJournal of College of Medical Sciences-Nepal, 2019
Background: Infection control is an imperative issue in the dental practice. Almost all of the dental procedures involve dealing with the saliva, blood and oral fluids which may have sufficient pathogens and cause cross infection through contaminated ...

Flash Assembloids: A Rapid Biofabrication of a Platform for Modeling Early Glioblastoma Invasion at the Glioblastoma–Brain Organoid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study presents a bioengineered assembloid (ASM) system combining glioblastoma (GBM) cells in oxidized alginate (OA) microgels with dorsal organoids (DOs). This model simulates brain tumor‐host interactions, revealing enhanced GBM invasion, altered gene expression, and aggressive infiltration patterns, demonstrating ASM as a valuable platform for ...

Design and Synthesis of Peptide‐Polyester Conjugates for Cell‐Mediated Scaffold Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work describes polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based biomaterials engineered to degrade in response to cell‐secreted proteases. A fast‐degrading peptide (Fast) sequence is integrated into a PCL conjugate backbone to produce a biomaterial that is selectively degraded by multiple cell types compared to its scrambled control (ScrFast).

Soft Neural Interfaces for Circuit‐Level Analysis of Magnetogenetic Deep Brain Stimulation in Parkinson's Disease Models

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Magnetogenetic deep brain stimulation (MG‐DBS) represents a wireless neuromodulation that has demonstrated long‐lasting behavioral benefits in Parkinson's disease models. However, the circuit‐level mechanisms underlying these therapeutic effects have remained uncharacterized due to limitations of conventional neural interfaces.

Evaluation of material waste, dimensional stability, and detail reproduction of polyvinyl siloxane impression materials mixed with different mixing tips

open access: yes, 2021
Statement of problem: Redesigned mixing tips, promising less impression material waste, have been marketed. However, whether their use adversely affects the dimensional stability and detail reproduction of the impression material is unclear. Purpose: The

The value of imbibition and syneresis for dental impression on red seaweed: a laboratory experiment

open access: yesPadjadjaran Journal of Dentistry
Introduction: Alginate is a type of elastic dental impression, which is an irreversible hydrocolloid. The main components in sodium alginate can be obtained naturally through the extraction process from seaweed (Kappaphycus alvarezii).
