Stress Distribution Analysis of Novel Dental Mini-Implant Designs to Support Overdenture Prosthesis

Journal of Oral Implantology, 2022
This study aimed to test and compare 2 novel dental mini-implant designs to support overdentures with a commercial model, regarding the stress distribution, by photoelastic analysis. Three different mini-implant designs (Ø 2.0 mm × 10 mm) were tested: G1—experimental threaded (design with threads and 3 longitudinal and equidistant self-cutting chamfers)

Dental Laboratory Communication Regarding Removable Dental Prosthesis Design in the UAE

Journal of Prosthodontics, 2012
AbstractPurpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the methods dental practitioners in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) use to communicate cast removable dental prosthesis (RDP) design to dental laboratories; identify common practices taken by dentists/dental technicians prior to fabrication of RDP framework; and seek out dental technicians ...

Probing combinational influence of design variables on bone biomechanical response around dental implant‐supported fixed prosthesis

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research Part B: Applied Biomaterials, 2022
AbstractThis study aimed to understand the effect of physiological and dental implant‐related parameter variations on the osseointegration for an implant‐supported fixed prosthesis. Eight design factors were considered (implant shape, diameter, and length; thread pitch, depth, and profile; cantilever [CL] length and implant‐loading protocol).

An integrated methodology for the functional design of dental prosthesis

International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing (IJIDeM), 2012
In this work it is proposed an integrated methodology for the functional design and simulation of removable complete dentures. This methodology develops in four phases: virtual and physical prototyping, contact forces and areas analysis and functional optimization of teeth and arches geometry.
