Stimulation of Plasminogen Activator Activity and Matrix Metalloproteinases of Human Dental Pulp–Derived Cells by Tumor Necrosis Factor–α

Journal of Endodontics, 2001
The effects of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-alpha on the plasminogen activator (PA)/plasmin system in human dental pulp (HDP) cells were examined. TNF-alpha treatment induced a significantly high level of PA activity in the conditioned medium of HDP cells in a time- and dose-dependent manner, compared with untreated control cells.

Bradykinin and thrombin synergistically potentiate interleukin 1 and tumour necrosis factor induced prostanoid biosynthesis in human dental pulp fibroblasts

Cytokine, 1996
The effects of and interactions between the six inflammatory mediators interleukin-1 (IL-1), tumour necrosis factor (TNF), gamma-interferon (INF-gamma), transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta), bradykinin (BK) and thrombin on prostanoid biosynthesis in primary cultures of human, dental, pulp fibroblasts were examined.

Semaphorin3A released from human dental pulp cells inhibits the increase in interleukin‐6 and CXC chemokine ligand 10 production induced by tumor necrosis factor‐α through suppression of nuclear factor‐κB activation

Cell Biology International, 2020
AbstractHuman dental pulp cells (HDPCs) play an important role in pulpitis. Semaphorin3A (Sema3A), which is an axon guidance molecule, is a member of the secretory semaphorin family. Recently, Sema3A has been reported to be an osteoprotective factor and to be involved in the immune response.

Tumor Necrosis Factor Alpha Stimulates Proliferation of Dental Pulp Stem Cells via Akt/Glycogen Synthase Kinase-3β/Cyclin D1 Signaling Pathway

Journal of Endodontics, 2015
It has been widely accepted that dental pulp stem cells (DPSCs), which are a class of self-renewal and differentiation potential of adult stem cells, play an important role in the repair procession of pulp's inflammation. We investigated whether tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) could induce the proliferation of DPSCs and clarified the potential ...

An Indispensible Parameters of Pulp Chamber Include Tooth Pulp, Types of Pulp Cavity, Pulpitis, Pulp Necrosis and Dental Pulp Calcification

Have you ever thought what’s inside your tooth? Our tooth is a complex structure along with many layers, and it isn’t solid all the way through. At the crux of your tooth, you will observe pulp cavity, which is filled with a jelly-like material known as tooth pulp.

Induction of Dental Pulp Fibroblast Matrix Metalloproteinase–1 and Tissue Inhibitor of Metalloproteinase–1 Gene Expression by Interleukin–1α and Tumor Necrosis Factor–α Through a Prostaglandin–Dependent Pathway

Journal of Endodontics, 2001
Matrix metalloproteinase-1 (MMP-1) and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 (TIMP-1) are involved in the degradation of extracellular matrix in many inflammatory diseases. Little is known regarding the expression of these mediators in dental pulp fibroblasts. The effects of proinflammatory cytokines (interleukin (IL)-1alpha and tumor necrosis factor-

Treatment of inflammatory external root resorption resulting from dental avulsion and pulp necrosis: clinical case report.

General dentistry, 2012
The aim of this case report was to present a treatment for severe inflammatory external root resorption. The condition developed due to the patient's neglect to seek adequate treatment following replantation of an avulsed maxillary left central incisor.

[Long term evaluation of results of endodontic treatments of dental pulp necrosis (74 cases obturated by the monoconal technique].

Dakar medical, 2000
Various factors may affect the outcome of root canal therapy. In this study 74 endodontocally treated pulpless teeth were evaluated: (43 with periapical radiolucency and 31 without periapical lesions). These 74 non surgical treatment were performed in 60 patients (26 men and 34 women) by undergraduated students. The overall success rate was 71.62%; the
