Interaction effects of enniatin B, deoxinivalenol and alternariol in Caco-2 cells
Toxicology Letters, 2016Enniatin B (ENN B), deoxinivalenol (DON) and alternariol (AOH) are secondary metabolites of filamentous fungi. These mycotoxins are contaminants of vegetables and cereals. They are cytotoxic and their effects are enhanced by their mixtures. The objectives of this study were to compare the cytotoxicity of ENN B, DON and AOH alone or in combination in ...

Abstract The impact of five fungicides (prochloraz, propioconazole, epoxiconazole, tebuconazole and azoxystrobin, 0.5–50 μg g−1) on growth of two Fusarium graminearum was evaluated in relation to water activity (aW, 0.99, 0.97, 0.95) and temperature (15°C and 25°C) on wheat-based media (in vitro).

Monitoring of cereals for deoxinivalenol (DON) in Lithuania using an acoustic method
2007Monitoring of deoxynivalenol (DON) in cereals is expensive and is often almost omitted because of its high cost. Ubiquitary occurring DON as a marker of trichothecenes produced by Fusarium species is considered as an important safety and economical issue. As it stands now with the EU legislation the consumer is unnecessary put at risk.

DON production by F. graminearum and F. culmorum isolated from wheat grains grown under different agroecological conditions in Serbia during two years were estimated. The incidence of F. graminearum differ considerably between localities, with frequency range from 3.13% to 25.80% and 1.61% to 21,90%, in 2005 and 2006, respectively. F.
