Loop‐mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) is a quick, cost‐effective molecular technique for detecting bacterial pathogens causing bovine mastitis. This review summarises 18 LAMP assays developed for key bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus uberis and Escherichia coli.

Bacillus subtilis RNase HII corrects ribonucleotide errors and mismatched ribonucleotides, but not damaged ribonucleotides. Mismatched ribonucleotides would also serve as substrates for mismatch repair while damaged ribonucleotides would be addressed through base excision repair.

Relapsing–Remitting Multiple Sclerosis Is Associated With a Dysbiotic Oral Microbiome
ABSTRACT Objective Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by inflammation, demyelination, and neurological impairment. While the gut microbiota's role in MS is extensively studied, the association between the oral microbiota and MS remains underexplored, particularly in North American cohorts.

Based on Mendelian randomization analysis, this study established a significant causal effect of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) on increasing generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) risk (odds ratio = 1.328; p < 0.001) and identified dozens of gut microbial taxa, plasma metabolites, inflammatory factors, and immune cell characteristics with potential causal

New cell lines expanding the diversity of Ewing sarcoma models
What's new? A chromosomal translocation between the EWSR1 and ETS genes is the key oncogenic driver in Ewing sarcoma. EWSR1::FLI1, the most frequent fusion, is subdivided into different fusion types with unclear prognostic relevance. Here, the authors describe the establishment and characterization of four new, intrinsically immortal, patient‐derived ...

Flavones and Aminoflavones Increase the Cytotoxicity of NK Cells in Human Non‐Small Cell Lung Cancer
ABSTRACT Natural flavonoids (flavones) and synthetic aminoflavones are known for their anti‐cancer properties; however, their immunomodulation ability has been largely unexplored. This study determined that synthetic flavones and aminoflavones modulate the cytotoxicity of natural killer (NK) cells against lung cancer cells.
