The Ageing, Longevity and Crowding Out Effects on Private and Public Savings: Evidence from Dynamic Panel Analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
Life-cycle theory predicts ageing exerting long-term macroeconomic impacts through the reduction of private savings. Ageing can be brought either through a fall in fertility rates or a rise in longevity. However, empirical research studying macroeconomic

Tumor B‐cell infiltration in platinum‐treated advanced muscle‐invasive urothelial carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Bladder tumors with higher pretreatment memory B‐cell infiltration were linked to longer survival after cisplatin chemotherapy, but not carboplatin. These tumors also showed more organized immune structures (tertiary lymphoid structures) and a shared pro‐inflammatory B‐cell‐rich community, suggesting that memory B cells may help identify patients most ...

The concept of comonotonicity in actuarial science and finance : theory. [PDF]

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

PAK1 activation drives divergent resistance mechanisms to aromatase inhibition and tamoxifen in a luminal: A breast cancer model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Nonlinear IV Unit Root Tests in Panels with Cross-Sectional Dependency [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a unit root test for panels with cross-sectional dependency. We allow general dependency structure among the innovations that generate data for each of the cross-sectional units.

Dependent Multiplicities in Dependent Linear Type Theory

open access: yesCoRR
We present a novel dependent linear type theory in which the multiplicity of some variable - i.e., the number of times the variable can be used in a program - can depend on other variables. This allows us to give precise resource annotations to many higher-order functions that cannot be adequately typed in any other system.
