Novel Low Loss LIGBT With Assisted Depletion N-Region and P-Buried Layer

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2021
A novel low loss lateral insulated gate bipolar transistor (LIGBT) with high voltage level is designed and studied in this paper, and is proposed with assisted depletion N-region (AD) and P-buried layer (PB) in the bulk Si substrate, named PBAD LIGBT ...

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Fabrication of Metal/Ferro-Electric/Semiconductor (Au/Bi4Ti3O12/n-Si) Devices and Temperature Dependent Examination of Their Complex Dielectric and Electric Modulus at 1 MHz

open access: yesGazi Üniversitesi Fen Bilimleri Dergisi, 2018
Metal-semiconductor (MS) devices, which have ferroelectric (Bi4Ti3O12) interfacial layers, were fabricated and their complex dielectric and electric modules have been studied in a wide range of temperature (80-320 K) at 1 MHz.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Evidence for the In‐Situ Generation of Plasma Depletion Structures Over the Transition Region of Geomagnetic Low‐Mid Latitude [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
On a geomagnetic quiet night of October 29, 2018, we captured an observational evidence of the onset of dark band structures within the field-of-view of an all-sky airglow imager operating at 630.0 nm over a geomagnetic low-mid latitude transition region,

Estimating the technical wind energy potential of Kansas that incorporates the effect of regional wind resource depletion by wind turbines [PDF]

open access: yesWind Energy Science
Energy scenarios require realistic estimates of technical wind energy potentials – estimates for how much electricity can be generated by wind turbines given a certain level of deployed capacity within a region.

Thermodynamic modeling of genome-wide nucleosome depleted regions in yeast

open access: yesPLOS Computational Biology, 2021
Nucleosome positioning in the genome is essential for the regulation of many nuclear processes. We currently have limited capability to predict nucleosome positioning in vivo, especially the locations and sizes of nucleosome depleted regions (NDRs). Here, we present a thermodynamic model that incorporates the intrinsic affinity of histones, competitive

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Determination of Wheat Stress Index(CWSI) in Karaj for Use in Irrigation Scheduling

open access: yesعلوم آب و خاک, 2022
The irrigation schedule of crops is the most effective way to increase agricultural water use efficiency. In irrigation planning, determining the irrigation time is more important and difficult than determining the depth of irrigation water.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
