The Effect of Depth Rotation on Object Identification
Perception, 1997Five experiments are reported in which the time to verify the name of different three-dimensional common objects shown rotated in depth was investigated. Views of computer-generated images of elongated objects rotated in steps of 30° along six axes of rotation were used as stimuli. A significant main effect of view was found in all experiments.

The problem of how three-dimensional form is perceived in spite of the fact that pertinent stimulation consists only in two-dimensional retinal images has been only partly solved. Much is known about the impressive effectiveness of binocular disparity.

Induction of a Stereoscopic Depth Effect
Science, 1964Two pairs of horizontal lines of equal length, with different configurations of dots above and below, are presented stereoscopically. Upon fusion, the two lines are perceived as tilting in space in directions opposite to the depth effects of the dots.

Correction of the escape depth effect in sputter depth profiles

Effects of crystallinity on depth resolution in sputter depth profiles
Surface and Interface Analysis, 1993Abstract For sputter depth profiling the effect of the layer crystallinity on the resolution of the underlying interfaces was investigated. By applying D. Onderdelinden's model of monocrystal sputtering ( Appl. Phys. Lett. 8, 189 (1966); Can. J. Phys.

The effect of financial depth on monetary transmission [PDF]
Several papers have looked at the relationship between country-specific factors and the strength of monetary transmission. For example, Cecchetti (1999) concentrated on legal aspects, while De Grauwe and Storti (2004) focused more on the financial structure of the economy.

Depth Modulation of the Attentional Repulsion Effect
Perception, 2013Shifts of attention can cause mislocalisation of visual objects. A brief cue that attracts attention can cause a shift in the perceived location of a subsequently presented visual object—specifically, moving it away from the focus of attention (attentional repulsion).

Depth Map Design and Depth-based Effects With a Single Image
2017We present a novel pipeline to generate a depth map from a single image that can be used as input for a variety of artistic depth-based effects. In such a context, the depth maps do not have to be perfect but are rather designed with respect to a desired result.

EFFECT OF INDUCED ANISOMETROPIA ON DEPTH PERCEPTION
American journal of optometry and archives of American Academy of Optometry, 1972ABSTRACT Depth perception of 25 male college subjects was measured with the Howard‐Dolman Apparatus and with various lenses from ± 2.00 D placed over one eye to induce anisometropia. Results showed that depth perceptual measures are very reliable (r = + 0.96) and that the average depth ...

Crystalline effects on depth resolution in AES depth profiling
Surface and Interface Analysis, 1994Abstract An evaluation of the depth resolution of sputter‐assisted Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) has been studied for semiconductor superlattices. Zalar et al. have shown that sample rotation is effective in improving the depth resolution of AES depth profiling ...
