Edge loss functions for deep-learning depth-map
Depth computation from an image is useful for many robotic systems like obstacle recognition, autonomous navigation, and 3D measurements. The estimation is best solved with Deep Neural Networks (DNN) as these are non-linear and ill-posed problems.

Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Depth Mapping for Stereoscopic Videos [PDF]
Stereoscopic videos have become very popular in recent years. Most of these videos are developed primarily for viewing on large screens located at some distance away from the viewer. If we watch these videos on a small screen located near to us, the depth range of the videos will be seriously reduced, which can significantly degrade the 3D effects of ...

Aggressive prostate cancer is associated with pericyte dysfunction
Tumor‐produced TGF‐β drives pericyte dysfunction in prostate cancer. This dysfunction is characterized by downregulation of some canonical pericyte markers (i.e., DES, CSPG4, and ACTA2) while maintaining the expression of others (i.e., PDGFRB, NOTCH3, and RGS5).

Interactive change of lighting in the portrait images [PDF]
We are facing a number of applications for altering portrait photographs using the help of artificial intelligence. Apart from the entertainment purposes, modern computer technologies can also help us get dynamic effects from static images, an example of

A Fitting Recognition Approach Combining Depth-Attention YOLOv5 and Prior Synthetic Dataset
To address power transmission lines (PTLs) traveling through complex environments leading to misdetections and omissions in fitting recognition using cameras, we propose a fitting recognition approach combining depth-attention YOLOv5 and prior synthetic ...

Detection of extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) in plasma samples from EGFR‐mutated non‐small cell lung cancer patients. Plasma was collected before and during treatment with the EGFR‐tyrosine kinase inhibitor osimertinib. Plasma eccDNA was detected in all cancer samples, and the presence of the EGFR gene on eccDNA serves as a potential biomarker ...

Depth Map Repairing for Building Reconstruction
Structure-from-motion along with multi-view stereo techniques jointly allow for the inexpensive scanning of 3D objects (e.g. buildings) using just a collection of images taken from commodity cameras. Despite major advances in these fields, a major limitation of dense reconstruction algorithms is that correct depth/normal values are not recovered on ...

Deepstereobrush: Interactive Depth Map Creation [PDF]
In this paper, we introduce a novel interactive depth map creation approach for image sequences which uses depth-scribbles as input at user-defined keyframes. These scribbled depth values are then propagated within these keyframes and across the entire sequence using a 3-dimensional geodesic distance transform (3D-GDT).

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...
