Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

DERIVATION ON SEVERAL RINGS

open access: yesBarekeng
Research on ring derivation is one of the studies that is quite popular among algebra lovers. The definition of the derivation on the ring is motivated by the derivation in calculus which has Leibniz's rule.

A derivative in the setting of operator-valued measures [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1973
There has been considerable recent development concerning integration of vector-valued functions with respect to operator-valued measures, including various Radon-Nikodym type theorems. This paper is concerned with obtaining an analytic definition of derivative which will act as an inverse operator for these integration processes.

On Conics that are Ovals in a Hall Plane

open access: yes, 1993
The conics of a finite Desarguesian plane of square even order satisfying the following properties are classified. (1) Their two infinite points (one being the nucleus) do not intersect a certain derivation set.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Images of conics under derivation

open access: yes, 1996
The Hall plane of order q2 is constructed from the Desarguesian plane of order q2 by the process of derivation with respect to a fixed derivation set on a fixed ideal line. The affine points of a nondashdegenerate conic in the Desarguesian plane of order

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
