Jordan–Hölder theorems for derived categories of derived discrete algebras [PDF]
For any positive integer n, n-derived-simple derived discrete algebras are classified up to derived equivalence. Furthermore, the Jordan–Holder theorems for all kinds of derived categories of derived discrete algebras are obtained.

Gorensteinness, homological invariants and Gorenstein derived categories [PDF]
Relations between Gorenstein derived categories, Gorenstein defect categories and Gorenstein stable categories are established. Using these, the Gorensteinness of an algebra $A$ and invariants with respect to recollements of the bounded Gorenstein ...

D-Branes, Derived Categories, and Grothendieck Groups
In this paper we describe how Grothendieck groups of coherent sheaves and locally free sheaves can be used to describe type II D-branes, in the case that all D-branes are wrapped on complex varieties and all connections are holomorphic.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Inferring choice criteria with mixture IRT models: A demonstration using ad hoc and goal-derived categories [PDF]
Whether it pertains to the foods to buy when one is on a diet, the items to take along to the beach on one's day off or (perish the thought) the belongings to save from one's burning house, choice is ubiquitous.

Derived categories and Deligne-Lusztig varieties II [PDF]
This paper is a continuation and a completion of [BoRo1]. We extend the Jordan decomposition of blocks: we show that blocks of finite groups of Lie type in non-describing characteristic are Morita equivalent to blocks of subgroups associated to isolated ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.

Derived categories of noncommutative quadrics and Hilbert squares
A noncommutative deformation of a quadric surface is usually described by a three-dimensional cubic Artin-Schelter regular algebra. In this paper we show that for such an algebra its bounded derived category embeds into the bounded derived category of a ...

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
