Three electrophoretic techniques comparison for des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin detection.

Applied and theoretical electrophoresis : the official journal of the International Electrophoresis Society, 1993
Des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP) is a marker that appears in the blood when modifications of vitamin K-dependent proteins carboxylation cycle occur. About 280 human plasma samples of diverse origins were tested by three different electrophoretic techniques for the evaluation of DCP: rocket immunoelectrophoresis (RIE) before and after barium carbonate

Measurement of serum and tissue des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin in resectable hepatocellular carcinoma.

Anticancer research, 2008
The total des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP) produced in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and the surrounding non-cancer liver tissue was estimated and the correlation between tissue DCP and serum DCP levels was examined.Forty patients with a single primary HCC nodule served as the subjects.

Hepatosellüler karsinoma teşhisinde des-gamma carboxyprothrombin`in rolü

2020
SUMMARY The Role of Des-Gamma Carboxyprothrombin in the Diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma. Background/Aims. Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a major cause of death chronic parenkimal liver diseases. Therapies are rarely curative. This is in part due to the poor performance of available tumor markers leading to delay in diagnosis.

Assay of des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin using staphylocoagulase. Application to the diagnosis of cellular hepatocarcinoma.

Haematologia, 1986
A new clotting method is described to assay des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP), using staphylocoagulase and adsorbed undiluted citrated plasma. The thrombin-coagulase formed was tested with a chromogenic substrate. The results were expressed in milliunits (m.u.). All 96 normal plasmas had less than 15 m.u. (mean 3.58 m.u.). Out of 56 non-hepatectomized

Low Alpha‐Fetoprotein in Non‐Viral Early‐Stage Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Complementary Des‐Gamma‐Carboxyprothrombin

Hepatology Research
ABSTRACT Background and Aim Alpha‐fetoprotein (AFP) is widely used in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) surveillance, but its performance may vary with etiology and tumor stage. We assessed etiology‐specific AFP and des‐gamma‐carboxyprothrombin (DCP) positivity at HCC diagnosis, focusing on early ...

Distribution of the heterogeneity of des-γ-carboxyprothrombin in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma

Journal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology (Australia), 2005
AbstractBackground and Aim: Our aim was to evaluate the heterogeneity of des‐γ‐carboxyprothrombin (DCP) in the plasma of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), benign liver diseases, and normal controls and compare the DCP values by enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for two types monoclonal antibodies (MU‐3 and 19B7).Methods: We purified

Application of Indirect ELISA and PCR Techniques for Detecting of Hepatocellular Carcinoma using Des-gamma Carboxyprothrombin, Alpha-fetoprotein, and Thioredoxin Biomarkers

Molecular Biotechnology
Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the five most common cancers and the second leading cause of cancer-related death worldwide. In this study, three monoclonal antibodies were developed for the early detection of HCC. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method is used to detect antigens causing HCC.

A new method to assay des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin. Results obtained in 75 cases of hepatocellular carcinoma.

Gastroenterology, 1986
A new method for assaying the activity of des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP), using staphylocoagulase on undiluted adsorbed plasma, is described. The thrombin-coagulase formed is measured on a chromogenic substrate, and the results are expressed in milliunits per milliliter of increment of the optical density following the release of p-nitroaniline ...

Des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin expression in cancer and/or non-cancer liver tissues: association with survival of patients with resectable hepatocellular carcinoma.

Oncology reports, 2005
Des-gamma-carboxyprothrombin (DCP), also known as a protein induced by vitamin K absence or antagonist II, is an abnormal prothrombin. The level of serum DCP is used in clinical diagnosis and prognosis of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Our previous immunohistochemical study showed that DCP is expressed not only in cancer tissues but also
