A framework for integrating resilience indicators into risk assessments
Abstract Globally, ecosystems are increasingly threatened by climate change and human pressures, yet ecosystem risk assessments predominantly emphasize exposure to stressors while overlooking intrinsic ecosystem resilience—the capacity to absorb and recover from disturbances.

Biases and Uncertainties in Radiosonde‐Based Precipitable Water Vapor
Abstract Precipitable water vapor (PWV) plays an important role in weather and climate phenomena. Accurate PWV measurements based on radiosonde observations are essential for assessing remote‐sensing measurements and long‐term trends. This study examines the performance of PWV algorithms, including their intrinsic biases and their sensitivity to ...

Extreme weather events cause pulsed fruit drop and alter plant–seed disperser mutualisms
Extreme weather events are increasing in frequency, duration and intensity, yet their role in reshaping plant–frugivore interactions remains poorly understood. We show that extreme weather events trigger abrupt pulses of fruit drop, redistributing interaction opportunities among ground‐dwelling frugivores.

EDAFOCLIMATICS VARIABLES ASSOCIATED TO DESERTIFICACIÓN
Desertification is a land degradation process generated by climatic variations and human activities. Mexico evidences a 64 % of degraded land, caused by deforestation, overgrazing, and change of land use. The aims of this research were to determine the degree of desertification of agricultural watershed in Baja California Sur and to correlate it with ...

Spatially explicit individual‐based models provide a powerful way to explore spatial dynamics when direct observation is not feasible. But for many ecological applications, these models require detailed data on the initial spatial arrangement and traits of individuals – information rarely available in large, heterogeneous or novel landscapes.
