Relating functional traits within and across species to the stabilization of grassland productivity
In a five‐year grassland biodiversity experiment, we show that species' mean positions along the slow–fast spectrum strongly shape temporal stability, whereas the influences of within‐ and between‐species trait variation depend on the extent of interspecific coexistence.

Plant canopies sustain soil C‐N‐P enzyme activities under climatic disequilibrium
Our findings reveal that plant–soil interactions are sensitive to mismatches between plant communities and climate. By enhancing enzymatic functioning under conditions of climatic disequilibrium, canopy plants contribute to maintaining nutrient cycling processes and potentially ecosystem resilience.

The recovery of large carnivores offers unique opportunities to study their cascading impacts on plant population dynamics.
