Research and Development of Test Automation Maturity Model Building and Assessment Methods for E2E Testing

open access: yesSoftware
Background: While several test-automation maturity models (e.g., CMMI, TMMi, TAIM) exist, none explicitly integrate ISO 9001-based quality management systems (QMS), leaving a gap for organizations that must align E2E test automation with formal quality ...

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Satisfaction Evaluation and Typological Optimization of Traditional Village Human Settlements from the Perspective of Villager Participation: A Northeast China Case Study

open access: yesLand
To address demand–supply mismatches in traditional village human settlements (TVHSs), this study builds on existing human settlement research by introducing cultural landscape theory and constructing a comprehensive framework that includes the hard ...

Design Research and Domain Representation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
While diverse theories about the nature of design research have been proposed, they are rarely considered in relation to one another across the broader disciplinary field.

Design & knowledge modeling - Knowledge modeling as design

open access: yes, 1993
The paper presents a cognitive analysis of design as a problem-solving activity. Design is characterized through results from empirical studies of various design tasks. Based on this characterization, it will be argued why and how knowledge modeling can be considered as a design task.

DNA methylation and expression of MAPRE3 affect overall survival of early‐stage non‐small cell lung cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Landscape Architectural Design as Scientific Inquiry? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This presentation discusses ‘landscape architectural design as scientific inquiry’ and exemplifies this with the description of a design process within climate-responsive design leading to new design knowledge.

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...
