Suppressing lithium dendrite formation by slowing its desolvation kinetics

Chemical Communications, 2019
A higher desolvation energy barrier and slower lithium electrodeposition kinetics tends to inhibit dendrite formation.

Synthesis of silk-based microcapsules by desolvation and hybridization

Chemical Communications, 2014
Single-component porous silk microcapsules were synthesized by the one-step desolvation method using PLGA spheres as sacrificial templates. Subsequently, AuNRs-T5 were utilized to synthesize silk-based hybrid capsules, which not only capped the pores of the shell but also enhanced Raman scattering.

Desolvation tips the balance: solvent effects on aromatic interactions

Chemical Communications, 2006
The folding behaviour of the molecular torsion balance framework is rationalised by considering the effects of solvation using the alpha/beta H-bond parameter scheme for estimating the free energies of pairwise functional group interactions in solution.

Preparation of anhydrous lanthanon acetates by desolvation

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1962
Abstract Anhydrous acetates of Y, La, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu were prepared by desolvation of the acetates in vacuum at 150°C after dissolution of the oxides in 50 per cent acetic acid and evaporation to dryness. Acetates of Pr and Nd did not reach constant composition before decomposition occurred.

Crystal growth in organic solids during desolvation

Journal of Crystal Growth, 1981
Abstract A study has been carried out of desolvation — the most widely occurring reaction in organic solids. Desolvation occurs together with the growth of solvent-free crystals inside the crystal solvate. The growth of solvent-free crystals is absolutely analogous to crystal growth from liquid media.
