An improved edge detection technique
International Journal of Computational Vision and Robotics, 2021Traditional edge detection methods tend to apply a single threshold over the entire image. However, natural images rarely have uniform illumination throughout, thus just a single threshold across t...

A Survey on malware detection techniques
2021 International Conference on Information Technology (ICIT), 2021Malware programs have become a serious threat as it was developed to damage computer systems, spread over the network or Internet connections. Researchers are making great efforts to produce anti-malware systems with practical ways to detect malware protection and malware detection of computer systems. Two basic approaches were proposed: based on the ...

An edge detection technique in images
2008 37th IEEE Applied Imagery Pattern Recognition Workshop, 2008A novel edge detection method based on a neighbourhood similarity criterion is presented in this paper. In this algorithm, the pixels in the original image that have minimum numbers of similar pixels among its neighbouring pixels in the filtering window are labelled as edge pixels.

On the Hough Technique for Curve Detection
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1978The usual Hough procedure for detecting curves embedded in digitized images involves a transformation from image space I to parameter space P. In this note we suggest that insight into this transformation may be enhanced by mapping P back into I.

Techniques ror Change Detection
IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1972The problem of change detection presents itself for imaging systems that view the same scene repeatedly. Current research programs based on the processing of side-looking radar imagery show that spatial alignment of the various parts of the image must be highly accurate if noise in the difference picture is to be reduced to acceptably low levels ...

A Survey on Ransomware Detection Techniques
2020Ransomware is among the most dangerous malware prevailing in today’s world. Once infected, the malware either encrypts the data or lock the system screen, and prevents the owner from accessing his data and system until some ransom money is paid, resulting in multi-million dollars of cyber-extortion annually. Additionally, there is no guarantee that the

Multiresolution edge detection techniques
Pattern Recognition, 1995Abstract In this paper, we propose multiresolution edge detection techniques for noiseless images and noisy ones which are contaminated by additive Gaussian noise or multiplicative noise. For edge detection, they determine automatically the resolution of a pixel by using pertinent discontinuity measures.

A Survey of Intrusion Detection Techniques
2019 18th IEEE International Conference On Machine Learning And Applications (ICMLA), 2019With the growing rate of cyber attacks, there is a significant need for intrusion detection systems (IDS) in networked environments. As intrusion tactics become more sophisticated and more challenging to detect, this necessitates improved intrusion detection technology to retain user trust and preserve network security.

Detection of antibodies by microtitrator techniques
Mycopathologia et Mycologia Applicata, 19671. An evaluation was made of methods and equipment used for microtitration. 2. The simplicity, accuracy, reproducibility, time saving and economy of microtitersystems well substaniate their use over other outdated methods. 3. Microtiter systems have been found to be useful in agglutination, complement fixation, conglutination and hemagglutination ...
