Novel and unscrutinized immune entities of the zebrafish gut

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Understudied cells of the zebrafish immune system include bona fide immune cells and epithelial (‐derived) cells with immune functions. Research focusing on zebrafish cells which demonstrate similarities to mammalian immune cell counterparts may help us understand the pathologies in which they are implicated. Currently available and advanced tools make

The coherence between PSMC6 and α-ring in the 26S proteasome is associated with Alzheimer’s disease

open access: yesFrontiers in Molecular Neuroscience
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a heterogeneous age-dependent neurodegenerative disorder. Its hallmarks involve abnormal proteostasis, which triggers proteotoxicity and induces neuronal dysfunction.

From lactation to malignancy: A comparison between healthy and cancerous breast gland at single‐cell resolution reveals new issues for tumorigenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals an opposite role of SLPI in basal tumors based on metastatic spread, along with shared activation of specific regulons in cancer cells and mature luminal lactocytes, as well as downregulation of MALAT1 and NEAT1 in the latter.

Some New Properties of The Real Quaternion Matrices and Matlab Applications

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2019
In this study, firstly, it was shown that the set of real quaternionmatrices is a -dimensional module over the real matrix ring and -dimensional module over the complex matrix ring .

Permanent and determinant

open access: yes27th Annual Symposium on Foundations of Computer Science (sfcs 1986), 1986
This paper gives the bound \(m>\sqrt{2}n-6\sqrt{n}\) as the smallest possible dimension m for which the n-dimensional permanent function might be expressible as an m-dimensional determinant function. The proof uses algebraic geometry studying the singular loci of the permanent and determinant functions.

A Bound on Determinants [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1965
Using the result that an arbitrary square matrix can be written as a linear combination of hermitian positive semidefinite matrices with coefficients from the complex number field, the author proves the theorem that the determinant of an arbitrary square matrix is bounded by the determinant of a positive semidefinite matrix.

Imeglimin attenuates liver fibrosis by inhibiting vesicular ATP release from hepatic stellate cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Imeglimin, at clinically relevant concentrations, inhibits vesicular ATP accumulation and release from hepatic stellate cells, thereby attenuating purinergic signaling and reducing fibrogenic activation. This mechanism reveals a newly identified antifibrotic action of imeglimin beyond glycemic control.
