Bis(phosphino)silyl (PSiP) nickel complexes are effective pre‐catalysts for room temperature alkene hydroboration. Terminal and geminal alkenes, including a wide scope of vinyl arenes, reacted to afford exclusively the linear, anti‐Markovnikov product in all cases. Internal alkenes undergo Ni‐mediated tandem alkene isomerization‐hydroboration to afford

A versatile modular strategy enables the synthesis of nickel nanoparticles functionalized with N‐heterocyclic carbene ligands and their subsequently immobilization onto graphene‐based supports. The hybrid catalytic material efficiently promotes the acceptorless dehydrogenation of alcohols, driven by synergistic effects between the metal–ligand ...

Electrooxidation of Anhydrous Glycerol: Kinetics and Selectivity
This work investigates glycerol electrooxidation in anhydrous conditions to narrow down the range of possible products. Preferential oxidation of glycerol to glyceraldehyde was achieved via homogeneous but not heterogeneous catalytic pathways. Further improvements in the redox mediator and catalyst design are needed to improve the performance. As a by ...

Electrochemical Methylthiolation of Terminal Alkynes Using Dimethyl Sulfoxide
Potassium iodide serves as the electron transfer reagent, dimethyl sulfoxide as both the solvent and sulfur source, a carbon rod as the anode, and a magnesium sheet as the cathode. The mild thiomethylation of the terminal alkyne is successfully achieved under electrocatalytic conditions.
