Characteristic Properties of Type-2 Smarandache Ruled Surfaces According to the Type-2 Bishop Frame in E3

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2021
In this paper, we define and investigate a special kind of ruled surfaces called type-2 Smarandache ruled surfaces related to the type-2 Bishop frame in E3.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Smarandache Ruled Surfaces according to Frenet-Serret Frame of a Regular Curve in E3

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2021
In this paper, we introduce original definitions of Smarandache ruled surfaces according to Frenet-Serret frame of a curve in E3. It concerns TN-Smarandache ruled surface, TB-Smarandache ruled surface, and NB-Smarandache ruled surface.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Flat Approximations of Surfaces Along Curves

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2015
We consider a developable surface tangent to a surface along a curve on the surface. We call it an osculating developable surface along the curve on the surface. We investigate the uniqueness and the singularities of such developable surfaces.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Construction of Regular Developable Bézier Patches

open access: yesMathematical and Computational Applications, 2019
The modeling of developable surfaces is considered a very important application in plat-metal-based industries. Relating to the purpose, this discussion aims to obtain some formulas for constructing the regular developable Bézier patches, in which

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The Conformal Design of an Island-Bridge Structure on a Non-Developable Surface for Stretchable Electronics

open access: yesMicromachines, 2018
Conformal design of the island-bridge structure is the key to construct high-performance inorganic stretchable electronics that can be conformally transferred to non-developable surfaces.
