Variable step-size LMS algorithm: new developments and experiments

The variable step size least mean square (VSLMS) algorithm is explored further and adopted for tracking of time varying environments. Two implementations of the VSLMS algorithm are proposed. Our emphasis is on the implementations with different step sizes at various taps of the adaptive filter.

A practical method of multitarget data association based on the probabilistic data association (PDA), joint PDA (JPDA) and SPDA algorithms is presented. The method can take account of the effects of all returns in validation region on the association probability, which are not considered well in the SPDA.

This paper presents “a review of Nonlinear Model-Algorithmic Control (MAC), and introduces a new generalized formulation, which incorporates nonminimum-phase compensation. In addition, new nonlinear multirate Model-Algorithmic Control methods are developed. The handling of input constraints within a MAC framework is also discussed.
