Delivery Systems for Therapeutic Genome Editing: Challenges, Innovations, and Future Perspectives
Schematic illustration of four emerging CRISPR–Cas delivery platforms defined by distinct design principles and structural features: virus‐mimicking nanosystems (e.g., VLPs), cell‐derived extracellular vesicles, cell‐penetrating peptides, and stimuli‐responsive scaffolds. These platforms enable spatiotemporally controlled delivery of RNPs, mRNA, or DNA

Intravitreal dexamethasone implant in the crystalline lens
We report the case of a 58-year-old man who developed macular edema due to superior temporal vein occlusion in his right eye. A dexamethasone implant was inadvertently injected into the crystalline lens. Slitlamp examination revealed the position of the implant. The intralenticular dexamethasone implant was clearly imaged in front of the posterior lens

Aptamer‐Based Delivery Systems for VEGF and NGF Modulation in Ocular Therapies
Aptamer‐based delivery systems targeting NGF and VEGF hold significant potential for precise and sustained treatment of complex diseases affecting both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. This review critically summarizes current strategies for NGF and VEGF delivery as well as VEGF sequestration, providing a clinical perspective on how ...

Intravitreal Dexamethasone Implant (Ozurdex) for Ocular Toxocariasis
This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of intravitreal dexamethasone implants in the treatment of ocular toxocariasis (OT). A retrospective analysis was performed on 6 cases in which laboratory tests diagnosed OT. All patients were administered with intravitreal dexamethasone implants with or without vitrectomy. The average follow‐up time

Staphylococcus lugdunensis endophthalmitis following dexamethasone intravitreal implant
We present a unique case of endophthalmitis with Staphylococcus lugdunensis following dexamethasone intravitreal implant for branch retinal vein occlusion associated with cystoid macular edema. Patient did not show favorable clinical response after vitrectomy and intravitreal antibiotics; so, we decided to repeat vitrectomy, remove the steroid implant ...
