Nonlinear Decoupling Control of DFIG
Advanced Materials Research, 2013DFIG (Double Fed Induction Generator) becomes a competitive wind power form due to it needs small capacity converter and the controllable of system efficiency and power factor. Aiming at back to back three-phase voltage-type PWM converter of the doubly-fed VSCF wind turbine, the nonlinear mathematical model of the controller of rotor side and network ...

DFIG Virtual Inertia Frequency Control Strategy
Advanced Materials Research, 2013During the DFIG maximum power tracking control process, the rotor side converter is only based on the wind turbine speed to regulate the active power output; it almost no provides effective inertia. DFIG could add auxiliary virtual inertia control system, when the system frequency is reduced, releasing the rotor "hidden" kinetic energy to support the ...

DFIG Soft-Sensor and its Applications
2012 Second International Conference on Instrumentation, Measurement, Computer, Communication and Control, 2012The rotor speed measurement of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) is very important to its control system design, but many problems may arise when applying traditional speed sensor. So, it is necessary to study the speed-sensorless measuring technique.

Reactive Power Control Strategies for DFIG-Based Plants
IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, 2007This paper explores and compares the performance of alternative voltage control strategies applied to doubly fed induction generator (DFIG). Different combinations of reactive power control of rotor- and grid-side converters are investigated for voltage-control purposes. Simulations are performed using detailed models built in DIgSILENT PowerFactory in

New Protection Scheme of DFIGs
2020This chapter proposes a control strategy of doubly fed induction generators (DFIGs) with new protection schemes for enhancing fault ride through capability of wind farms composed of DFIGs and induction generators (IGs). Since the DFIGs will be stressed or overloaded in the process of stabilizing the wind farm during a grid fault, it is paramount to ...

Power Engineer, 2003
The generation of electrical power using sustainable sources of energy is developing rapidly. The authors describe how the security and quality of electricity supply might be maintained. They discuss the control of variable speed using doubly fed induction generators (DFIG) in wind turbines.

An optimal control strategy for DFIG
2010 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology, 2010For doubly fed induction machines operating as wind generators (DFIG), the terminal voltage and the active power delivered to the grid are controlled by a PWM converter linked to the machine rotor. The monitoring of the direct and quadrature axis components of the rotor voltage makes possible the control of the terminal voltage and active power ...

DFIG-Based Wind Turbine Robust Control
Proceedings of the 4th International Conference on Big Data and Internet of Things, 2019This paper deals with the power generation control in variable speed wind turbines. In this context a vectorial control for oriented stator flux for doubly feed-generator has been developed. It uses a super twisting algorithm. The proposed control strategy combines an MPPT using a Kalman observer and second-order sliding mode for the DFIG control.

Impedance-based stability analysis of DFIG
2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2016Impedance-based method is applied in this paper to analyze the relationship between the converter control system and the stability of DFIG grid connected system. The model of DFIG equivalent input admittance considering the phase error of controller system caused by PLL is proposed.
