The Influence of Surgeons' Gender on Surgical Outcomes in Laparoscopic Right Hemicolectomy: A Japanese Nationwide Retrospective Cohort Study

This study analyzed 58 503 laparoscopic right hemicolectomies for colon cancer in Japan between 2018 and 2022, comparing outcomes between male and female surgeons. No significant differences were found in surgical mortality or severe complications. Tailored surgical training programs for female surgeons may further enhance surgical outcomes.

Impact of Renin‐Angiotensin System Inhibitors on Renal Function During Temporary Ileostomy Period in Rectal Cancer Patients: A Retrospective Cohort Study

This retrospective study explored the potential impact of renin–angiotensin system inhibitors (RASIs) on renal function during the ileostomy period in patients undergoing rectal cancer surgery. RASI use was associated with early postoperative renal impairment, and relatively slow recovery of renal function was observed until stoma closure.

This study evaluated the surgical and oncological outcomes of pancreas‐sparing total duodenectomy (PSTD) as a surgical prophylaxis for severe duodenal polyposis in FAP.
