Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy [PDF]
Diabetic autonomic neuropathies (DAN) are clinical syndromes resulting from impairments of the autonomic nervous system in patients with diabetes mellitus. Since the autonomic nervous system innervates most body organs, any or all of those organs may be affected by DAN. A high index of suspicion is the best diagnostic tool.

Targeting Supramolecular Active Complexes of Nav1.7/Nav1.8 to Relieve Chronic Neuropathic Pain
In mice and patients with severe chronic neuropathic pain (NP), Nav1.7, Nav1.8, TrkB, and five cytoskeletal proteins form supramolecular active complexes (SMACs) with polygonal lattice structures as noxious signal amplifiers in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons.

Tadalafil Promotes the Recovery of Peripheral Neuropathy in Type II Diabetic Mice. [PDF]
We previously demonstrated that treatment of diabetic peripheral neuropathy with the short (4 hours) half-life phosphodiesterase 5 (PDE5) inhibitor, sildenafil, improved functional outcome in diabetic db/db mice.

Diabetes: how to manage diabetic peripheral neuropathy
Diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN) is a major complication of diabetes mellitus. Tight glycaemic management focused on lowering haemoglobin A1C and increasing time in the target glucose range along with metabolic risk factor management form the cornerstone of DPN prevention.

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

Corneal nerve regeneration is critical to corneal wound healing processes. The current study reveals a novel role of MG53 in promoting corneal nerve regeneration after alkali induced injury. Mechanistically, MG53 enters macrophages via its receptor, MPEG1, promotes MVP K63 ubiquitination, and triggers STAT6 induced repair‐related genes expression ...
