Pseudoblock conditions of diagonal dominance

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2006
Summary: The paper presents new pseudoblock diagonal-dominance conditions for matrices with fixed block partitioning, which generalize the pointwise \(k\)th-order diagonal-dominance conditions and pointwise circuit diagonaldominance conditions. For matrices satisfying pseudoblock conditions, the singularity/nonsingularity problem is considered.

On determinantal diagonal dominance conditions

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2011
The paper suggests sufficient nonsingularity conditions for matrices in terms of certain determinantal relations of diagonal dominance type, which improve and generalize some known results. These conditions are used to describe new eigenvalue inclusion sets and to derive new two-sided bounds on the determinants of matrices satisfying them. Bibliography:

Complete diagonalization of thermodynamic stability conditions

Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications, 1979
Abstract It is shown that the local existence of certain thermodynamic potentials allows for the complete diagonalization of thermodynamic stability conditions, so that only one-dimensional extrema have to be investigated.

High gain adaptive stabilisation under diagonal dominance conditions

Proceedings of the 27th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2003
High-gain adaptive stabilization of linear multivariable systems S(A, B, C) with diagonal dominance type conditions on CB are discussed using an operator-theoretical form of the state equations. Preliminary results for L/sub 1//sup m/(0, infinity ) stability are described together with techniques for including extra information on plant structure. >

On the structure of the diagonal conditions

International Journal of Quantum Chemistry, 1978
AbstractSome structural features of the diagonal problem of reduced density matrix theory are investigated by considering the cone Br introduced elsewhere. In some special cases, we discover a very tight connection between the group structure of Gr, the invariance group of Br, and the convex structure of Br. We also state a general theorem that relates

A diagonal dominance condition for robust decentralized variable structure control

Proceedings of 1994 33rd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
The robust tracking control of MIMO systems by means of simple decentralized variable-structure controllers is considered. The model of the system that is assumed to be available is a linear I/O map (e.g., a transfer function matrix) affected by bounded uncertainties and subject to bounded input disturbances.

Criteria Conditions for Generalized Strictly Diagonally Dominant Matrices

2011
Several determination criterions for generalized strictly diagonally dominant matrix are put forward in this chapter, improving the existing correlative conclusions, extending the determination criterions for generalized strictly diagonally dominant matrix.

Exploiting Commutativity Condition for CP Decomposition Via Approximate Simultaneous Diagonalization

ICASSP 2020 - 2020 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2020
In this paper, we propose a novel strategy which utilizes an inherent algebraic property of simultaneously diagonalizable matrix tuples, i.e., commutativity, for both (i) reducing approximate CP decomposition of a higher-order tensor to Approximate Simultaneous Diagonalization (ASD) and (ii) solving the ASD.
