The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

The semiotic impulse: experimenting with Peirce’s diagrammatic love
This article explores the relevance of Peirce’s cosmological concept of love for politics, focusing on its expression as an evolutionary process of semiosis.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

The results obtained based on the random balance method are usually presented using scattering diagrams. Their number corresponds to the number of criteria for evaluation, since both impact factors and evaluation criteria can be measured by different ...

By a diagram we mean a topological space obtained by gluing to a standard circle a finite number of pairwise non-intersecting closed rectangles along their lateral sides, the glued rectangles are pairwise disjoint. Diagrams are not new objects; they were used in many areas of low-dimensional topology.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

SketchSet: Creating Euler diagrams using Pen or Mouse [PDF]
Euler diagrams form the basis of various visual languages but tool support for creating them is generally limited to generic diagram editing software using mouse and keyboard interaction.

Let \(h\) be a homeomorphism of a handlebody \(H\) to itself. If the restriction of \(h\) to the boundary \(\partial H\) of \(H\) is a product of Dehn twists along a system of pairwise disjoint curves in \(H\), then it is shown that every one of the curves must bound a disc in \(H\).

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...
