Super-Conscious Dreams: Martin Arnold’s In Tinseltown (2021) and Full Rehearsal (2017)
In Tinseltown and Full Rehearsal are examples of digital found-footage practice that explore the creative potential of the glitch. Featuring Monroe and Mickey, the two films conjure up what Walter Benjamin called figures of a “collective dream”.

Diagramma e Corpo Virtuale. Figure di “soglia” nel pensiero dell’immanenza [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to analyse the concepts used by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari in their elaboration of the notions of plane of immanence and processes of subjectification, which are connected through a complex interrelationship.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

PaL Diagrams: A Linear Diagram-Based Visual Language [PDF]
Linear diagrams have recently been shown to be more effective than Euler diagrams when used for set-based reasoning. However, unlike the growing corpus of knowledge about formal aspects of Euler and Venn diagrams, there has been no formalisation of ...

Automatic extraction of corollaries from semantic structure of text
The aim of this study is to develop an algorithm for automatic representation of the text of natural language as a formal system for the subsequent automatic extraction as reasonable answers to profound questions in the context of the text, and the deep ...

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

A General Method for Drawing Area-Proportional Euler Diagrams [PDF]
Area-proportional Euler diagrams have many applications, for example they are often used for visualizing data in medical and biological domains. There have been a number of recent research efforts to automatically draw Euler diagrams when the areas of ...
