Optimization of Fluorescent Nanoparticles Architecture for Efficient Brightness, FRET Efficiency and Biosensing

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Architecturally controlled fluorescent polymer nanoparticles spatially confine BODIPY dyes within core‐shell‐crown compartments, enabling independent tuning of brightness and FRET efficiency. Core‐localized dyes maximize brightness, while shell positioning enhances energy transfer.

A Microfluidic Dialysis Chip for Continuous Purification of Lipid Nanoparticles

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
A 3D‐printed microfluidic dialysis chip enables gentle, continuous‐flow purification of lipid nanoparticles (LNPs). A number‐of‐transfer‐units (NTU)‐based mass‐transfer model guides device design and identifies channel height as the principal geometric parameter controlling ethanol removal and buffer exchange.

Proteinuria in Preeclampsia and Long‐Term Risk of Maternal Kidney and Cardiovascular Disease: A Population‐Based Cohort Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the association between urinary protein excretion (UPE) level in preeclampsia and long‐term risk of maternal hypertension, chronic kidney disease (CKD), and cardiovascular disease (CVD). Design Nationwide, population‐based cohort study utilising routinely collected individual‐level data from medical databases.

Longitudinal changes in peritoneal solute transport rate and the impact of lower glucose degradation product glucose dialysates

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, Volume 29, Issue 3, Page 471-478, June 2025.
Abstract Introduction Peritoneal solute transfer rates (PSTR) are reported to increase with time. Changes in PSTR were reviewed in long‐term peritoneal dialysis (PD) patients to determine whether lower glucose degradation products (low GDP) dialysates prevented an increase in PSTR. Methods PSTR was determined with a 4‐h peritoneal equilibrium test with

Text mining for case report articles on “peritoneal dialysis” from PubMed database

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, Volume 29, Issue 3, Page 459-470, June 2025.
Abstract Introduction The number of published medical articles on peritoneal dialysis (PD) has been increasing, and efficiently selecting information from numerous articles can be difficult. In this study, we examined whether artificial intelligence (AI) text mining can be a good support for efficiently collecting PD information.

A decade of renal dietetic staffing and malnutrition prevalence in dialysis patients: An observational study in a large dialysis population

open access: yesNutrition &Dietetics, EarlyView.
Abstract Aims This study explores the maintenance of dietetic full time equivalent staffing alongside malnutrition rate in a metropolitan renal dialysis service in Victoria, Australia. Objectives were to: (1) describe changes in dietitian staff‐to‐patient ratios over time; (2) evaluate dietetic service delivery against best practice guidelines and (3 ...

Interventional Radiology Society of Australasia Quality Care Guidelines for Renal Tumour Ablation in Australia and New Zealand

open access: yesJournal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Image‐guided thermal ablation (radiofrequency, cryo‐ and microwave ablation) is a safe and effective primary treatment for small renal mass and localised renal cell carcinoma ≤ 4 cm (T1a) with long‐term cancer‐specific survival rates equivalent to surgical resection (Level A).
