Diamond as the heat spreader for the thermal dissipation of GaN-based electronic devices

open access: yesFunctional Diamond, 2021
With the increasing power density and reduced size of the GaN-based electronic power converters, the heat dissipation in the devices becomes the key issue toward the real applications.

Diamond / SiC heterojunctions [PDF]

open access: yes2016 12th Conference on Ph.D. Research in Microelectronics and Electronics (PRIME), 2016
Diamond and SiC are wide bandgap (WBG) materials which can be used to fabricate high power devices with improved performance. The combination of these materials into one single device is expected to bring some benefits, like a better thermal management with a corresponding increase in the operating power.

A critical review on the chemical wear and wear suppression of diamond tools in diamond cutting of ferrous metals

open access: yesInternational Journal of Extreme Manufacturing, 2020
Diamond tools play a critical role in ultra-precision machining due to their excellent physical and mechanical material properties, such as that cutting edge can be sharpened to nanoscale accuracy. However, abrasive chemical reactions between diamond and

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Effect of surface pretreatments on the deposition of polycrystalline diamond on silicon nitride substrates using hot filament chemical vapor deposition method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The deposition of diamond films on a silicon nitride (Si3N4) substrate is an attractive technique for industrial applications because of the excellent properties of diamond. Diamond possesses remarkable physical and mechanical properties such as chemical

Towards Integrated Optical Quantum Networks in Diamond [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We demonstrate coupling between the zero phonon line (ZPL) of nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond and the modes of optical micro-resonators fabricated in single crystal diamond membranes sitting on a silicon dioxide substrate.
