Distinct ribosome maturation defects in yeast models of Diamond-Blackfan anemia and Shwachman-Diamond syndrome

open access: yesHaematologica, 2010
Background Diamond-Blackfan anemia and Shwachman-Diamond syndrome are inherited bone marrow failure syndromes linked to defects in ribosome synthesis.

Enhancement Effect of a Diamond Network on the Flow Boiling Heat Transfer Characteristics of a Diamond/Cu Heat Sink

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The use of a micro heat sink is an effective means of solving the problem of high-power chip heat dissipation. Diamond/Cu composites exhibit high thermal conductivity and a linear thermal expansion coefficient that is compatible with semiconductor ...

ANALYSIS OF COMPETITIVENESS OF HUNGARIAN WHEAT SECTOR WITH PORTER’S DIAMOND MODEL [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Central European Agriculture, 2009
Competitiveness – as many other scientific branches use this term – has an especially rich international special literature. A number of ways and indicators have been developed in the past decades to measure and define competitiveness, but because of its

An enhanced two-dimensional hole gas (2DHG) C–H diamond with positive surface charge model for advanced normally-off MOSFET devices

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Though the complementary power field effect transistors (FETs), e.g., metal–oxide–semiconductor-FETs (MOSFETs) based on wide bandgap materials, enable low switching losses and on-resistance, p-channel FETs are not feasible in any wide bandgap material ...

Isoglitter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Described herein is a novel crystalline pattern in space group Ammm, that is a model of a C allotrope. This so-called isoglitter structure-type is a model of a graphite-diamond hybrid.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Numerical optimization of the extra-cavity diamond Raman laser in the multi-phonon absorption band

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2022
The physical process of stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) in the diamond and the performance of the Raman laser in the multi-phonon absorption band of 2.5–3 μm were theoretically studied.
