A colorimetric and fluorescent probe based on diarylethene for dual recognition of Cu2+ and CO32- and its application

, 2020
A high selectivity diarylethene sensor for the detection of Cu2+ and CO32- was designed and synthesized. It not only has good photochromic properties, but also recognizes Cu2+ and CO32- by colorimetric and fluorescent.

Photocurrent Generation of Diarylethene Polymers

Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals, 2005
ABSTRACT The combination of photochromism and electrical properties in diarylethene (DA) polymers were investigated. Photoswitching function could be introduced into a polymer by incorporating 2,3-bis(2-methylbenzo[b]thiophene-3-yl)hexafluorocyclopentene (BTF) unit plus p-phenylene vinylene (PPV) unit alternatively.

The Photochromism and Fluorescence of Diarylethenes with a Imidazole Bridge Unit: A Strategy for the Design of Turn-on Fluorescent Diarylethene System

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2009
A class of diarylethenes with a imidazole bridge unit has been synthesized and shows photochromic properties with UV/vis light irradiation. It is found that electronic properties of substituent in the imidazole bridge unit have a great effect on both photochromism and fluorescence of diarylethenes because of intramolecular charge transfer.

Photocyclization Dynamics of Diarylethene

2020
The focus of this chapter is a study that uses UED to probe the atomic motions that take place during the ‘photocyclization’ or photoinduced ring-closing reaction of the molecule 1,2-bis(2,4-dimethyl-5-phenyl-3-thienyl)perfluorocyclopentene, herein abbreviated to PFC.

Tunable fluorescent pyrene/diarylethene-based bistable [3]rotaxane

, 2020
An adjustable pyrene/diarylethene-based bistable [3]rotaxane driven by acid-base has been successfully developed through “threading-followed-by-stoppering” strategy, exhibiting adjustable photochromic characteristic and tunable fluorescence ...

Electropolymerization of an EDOT-modified diarylethene

Tetrahedron Letters, 2007
Abstract A diarylethene substituted with 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) was synthesized to induce electrochemical anodic polymerization. Upon electrochemical oxidation of 1,2-bis(2-methylbenzo[ b ]thiophene-3-yl)perfluorocyclopentene (BTF)-substituted EDOT at the 6,6′-position (BTFTT), a red-purple polymeric film (PBTFTT) was deposited on a ...

Photochromism of Single Crystalline Diarylethenes

Chemistry Letters, 1995
Abstract 1,2-Bis(2,4-dimethy-3-thienyl)perfluorocyclopentene was found to undergo a reversible photochromic reaction in a single crystalline phase with rotation of the thiophene rings. Both the open-ring colorless and the photogenerated red isomers were thermally stable even at 100 °C.

A new “turn-on” fluorescent chemosensor for Zn2+ based on a diarylethene derivative and its practical applications

Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A: Chemistry, 2019
A new photochromic fluorescent chemosensor 1o based on a diarylethene derivative was designed and successfully synthesized. In this work, 1o acted as a “turn-on” fluorescence sensor for detecting Zn2+ in methanol solution with the characteristics of fast

Photochromism of Diarylethenes With Intralocking Arms

Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals Science and Technology. Section A. Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals, 1994
Abstract A new type of photochromic compounds, diarylethenes with heterocyclic rings, has been developed for optical data storage media. Attention was focused to design and synthesize photochromic compounds with sensitivity at diode laser wavelengths and gated photochemical reactivity.
