Topological Dictionary Learning
The aim of this paper is to introduce a novel dictionary learning algorithm for sparse representation of signals defined over combinatorial topological spaces, specifically, regular cell complexes. Leveraging Hodge theory, we embed topology into the dictionary structure via concatenated sub-dictionaries, each as a polynomial of Hodge Laplacians ...

Comparative performance of 7 risk prediction indices in patients hospitalized for heart failure. In this cohort of 1206 patients, the LENT index offered the greatest discrimination, calibration, and overall accuracy in predicting 30‐day composite all‐cause mortality or readmission following hospitalization for heart failure.

An augmented Lagrangian multi-scale dictionary learning algorithm
Learning overcomplete dictionaries for sparse signal representation has become a hot topic fascinated by many researchers in the recent years, while most of the existing approaches have a serious problem that they always lead to local minima.

The EU's Strategy for Sustainability: A Landmark Turn With the European Green Deal?
ABSTRACT While the European Green Deal (EGD) has been widely recognized as a milestone in the EU's sustainability strategy, scholars disagree on the nature of the policy change it represents. Critics highlight its limited social and environmental ambitions, despite its portrayal as a “man on the moon” moment.

Cognitive safety under epicranial cortex stimulation of the epileptic focus
Abstract Epicranial focal cortex stimulation (FCS) is a new CE‐certified treatment for pharmacoresistant focal epilepsy. In a multicenter observational trial, we report cognitive tolerability in 11 patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy undergoing epicranial focal cortex stimulation (eFCS) over the predominant seizure focus (left temporal (N = 4 ...

Caught in the fire: An accidental ethnography of discomfort in researching sex work
Abstract Drawing on fifteen years of engagement with researching Israel's sex industry, this article uses accidental ethnography to propose discomfort‐as‐method for feminist anthropology. I argue that discomfort is not a by‐product of fieldwork but a constitutive condition that disciplines researchers and shapes what can be known.
