1-INDANONE DERIVATIVES: A NOVEL ONE-POT APPROACH TO IMIDES VIA BECKMANN-LIKE REARRANGEMENT AND THEORETICAL INSIGHTS INTO THEIR INTERACTIONS WITH ACHE ENZYME [PDF]

open access: yesQuímica Nova
The reaction of (E)-2,3-dihydro-1H-inden-1-one oxime (3) with carboxylic acid anhydrides and fatty acids aiming at the formation of the respective esters unexpectedly produced imides [5a-5c and 5d-5k] (81-95% yields).

Redox‐Active Guanidines

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 12, 17 June 2026.
Redox‐active guanidines, comprising guanidino‐functionalized aromatics (GFAs) and redox‐active urea azines (RAAs), are electron donors and strong Lewis and Brønsted bases that are used in several applications. They act as redox‐active ligands in bistable coordination compounds and as reagents in dehydrogenative coupling reactions and proton‐coupled ...

Development of a smartphone-based real time cost-effective VOC sensor

open access: yesHeliyon, 2020
Air pollution by various volatile organic compounds (VOC) is a matter of concern for us. So in this regard, designing real-time VOC responsive materials is gaining attention across the scientific community.

Enhanced Electrochemical Oxidation of Ethanol Over Nickel Foam Supported Pt–Au Alloy Electrode

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 12, 17 June 2026.
Nickel foam‐supported strategically engineered Pt–Au alloy with a Pt‐enriched surface and Au‐rich bulk promotes strong electronic and bifunctional synergies. This structural design drives highly efficient ethanol electro‐oxidation, proceeding through an acetaldehyde intermediate to produce acetate.

The first genistin absorption screening into vacuoles of Trifolium pratense L.

open access: yesPlant, Soil and Environment, 2018
The determination of a transport mechanism for genistin (genistein-7-O-glucoside) across the tonoplast was performed on vacuoles from a cell culture of Trifolium pratense L. Genistin levels were examined in vacuoles as well as in an assay medium by HPLC (

Hofmann Degradation of Asparagine and Glutamine as an Efficient Approach for the Synthesis of Derivatized Lysine Homologs

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 29, Issue 21, 4 June 2026.
A practical and scalable route to C1 and C2 lysine homologs has been developed using Hofmann degradation of N‐protected L‐asparagine and L‐glutamine as the key step. These short‐tether scaffolds enable efficient synthesis of diverse Fmoc‐protected noncanonical amino acids (ncAAs) bearing donor, acceptor, redox‐active, and fluorescent residues.

Synthesis and Anti-tumor Activity Evaluation of Rhein-Aloe Emodin Hybrid Molecule

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2012
To improve the anti-tumor effects of rhein and aloe-emodin, a rhein-aloe-emodin hybrid molecule (RH-AE) was synthesized from rhein and aloe-emodin in the presence of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC) and 4-dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP).

Turning Electrode Orientation into a Design Parameter: Gravity‐Driven Convection for Coupling Electrochemical and Enzymatic Reactions

open access: yesChemElectroChem, Volume 13, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
Electrochemically induced density gradients are harnessed to drive gravity‐dependent convection at partially fouled electrodes. By controlling electrode orientation and surface heterogeneity, mass transport is enhanced without external stirring. This enables coupling of electrochemical reactions with enzyme catalysis on insulating domains, exemplified ...

Evidence Supports The Formation Of Isoimides Derived From Pyromellitic Dianhydride

open access: yesIbn Al-Haitham Journal for Pure and Applied Sciences, 2017
Some new mono isoimides of asymmetrical pyromillitdiimide derived from pyromellitic dianhydride were synthesized and studied by their melting points , FTIR , and 1HNMR spectroscopy and C.H.N analysis (for some of them) and it was proved that the ...

Insertion reactions of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide with aminoboranes, -boryls and -borylenes

open access: yesDalton Transactions, 2007
Insertion reactions of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide with aminoboranes and with aminoboryl and -borylene transition metal complexes have been examined as potential routes to new boron-containing ligand systems. Reactions with systems containing two-coordinate boron centres are found to be significantly more facile than those with three-coordinate substrates.
