CaCu3Ti4O12 ceramics from co-precipitation method: Dielectric properties of pellets and thick films [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Dielectric properties of CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO)-based ceramics and thick films (e ∼50m) prepared from powders synthesized by a soft chemistry method (co-precipitation) are presented and discussed.

Debye relaxation in high magnetic fields

open access: yes, 2008
Dielectric relaxation is universal in characterizing polar liquids and solids, insulators, and semiconductors, and the theoretical models are well developed.

MEMS-tunable dielectric metasurface lens [PDF]

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Varifocal lenses, conventionally implemented by changing the axial distance between multiple optical elements, have a wide range of applications in imaging and optical beam scanning. The use of conventional bulky refractive elements makes these varifocal

The dielectric Skyrme model

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
We consider a version of the Skyrme model where both the kinetic term and the Skyrme term are multiplied by field-dependent coupling functions. For suitable choices, this "dielectric Skyrme model" has static solutions saturating the pertinent topological bound in the sector of baryon number (or topological charge) $B=\pm 1$ but not for higher $|B ...

Mechanical and dielectric response of microcomposites of the type: ferroelastic-dielectric [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
Dynamic dielectric and mechanical responses of the microcomposites of the ferroelastic-dielectric type were studied in this paper. The mechanical inclusions-matrix interactions have influence on the mechanical moduli of the composite. We have studied a mechanical response of the composite which consists of the material M and of the other material I in ...

Linear Dielectric Thermodynamics: A New Universal Law for Optical, Dielectric Constants [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
Linear dielectric thermodynamics are formally developed to explore the isothermal and adiabatic temperature - pressure dependence of dielectric constants. The refractive index of optical materials is widely measured in the literature: it is both temperature and pressure dependent.

Anomalous localized resonance using a folded geometry in three dimensions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
If a body of dielectric material is coated by a plasmonic structure of negative dielectric material with nonzero loss parameter, then cloaking by anomalous localized resonance (CALR) may occur as the loss parameter tends to zero.

On Static Dielectric Response of Microcomposites of the Type: Ferroelastics - Dielectrics [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
We describe the static dielectric response of ferroelastic-dielectric microcomposites. Its dependence on temperature, pressure and concentration is considered for smaller concentrations and for temperatures above the critical temperature. We have found a qualitative agreement with existing experimental data for $Al_{2}(WO_{4})_{3}$.

Terahertz and Infrared Studies of Antiferroelectric Phase Transition in Multiferroic Bi_0.85Nd_0.15FeO_3

open access: yes, 2011
High-frequency dielectric studies of Bi_0.85Nd_0.15FeO_3 ceramics performed betweeen 100 and 900 K reveal hardening of most polar phonons on cooling below antiferroelectric phase transition, which occurs near 600 K.
