On the Measurement of Dielectric Constant of Coatings with Capacitance Sensors
Key Engineering Materials, 2008In this work we show that in many practical situations it is possible to obtain the dielectric constant of coatings on plane conductive substrates by means of capacitance measurements with a single electrode without precise knowledge of the thickness.

Circular split‐ring resonator‐based sensor for dielectric constant measurement
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2022AbstractThis paper presents the development of a metamaterial‐based microwave sensor for dielectric constant measurements. The sensor is constructed with a circular split‐ring resonator on one side and a coplanar waveguide transmission line on the other side. The proposed sensor has a size of 35 mm × 35 mm × 1.27 mm and resonates at 3.31 GHz.

An elastomeric tactile sensor employing dielectric constant variation and applicable to orthodontia
17th IEEE International Conference on Micro Electro Mechanical Systems. Maastricht MEMS 2004 Technical Digest, 2004This paper introduces a capacitive-type elastomeric tactile sensor for the application of orthodontia. Different from many capacitive-type tactile sensors employing gap-distance or electrode-overlap changing for pressure or shear signal measurement, this sensor applies electrostriction effect (dielectric constant change due to dielectric particles ...
