Thin-film metallized dielectric waveguides

An experimental study was made of the influence of metallic and dielectric coatings on the propagation of selectively excited TE and TM modes in thin-film dielectric waveguides. The theoretical and experimental results were obtained for different metals and different waveguide thicknesses.

Thin Film Dielectric Ion Sensors

A new type of ion sensor was developed. Thin film perovskite materials such as BaTiO 3 were deposited onto a metal electrode by a hydrothermal-electrochemical method in an autoclave. The resultant electrode was paired with a counterelectrode and immersed in solution.

Dielectric Properties of NaYF4 Thin Films

The dielectric properties of thin film MIM structures of NaYF4 are extensively investigated in the frequency range 100 Hz to 16 kHz and in the temperature range 77 to 450 K. The capacitance and loss tangent of these films is found to be dependent on frequency and temperature.
