Nanoscale Spatial Tuning of Superconductivity in Cuprate Thin Films via Direct Laser Writing
Maskless direct laser writing enables local control of oxygen stoichiometry in epitaxial YBCO thin films under ambient conditions. Sub‐micrometer grayscale patterns with tunable optical response and superconducting transport properties are achieved.

The design and additive manufacture of gradient dielectrics for RF devices
Mirotznik, Mark S.Gradient dielectrics have emerged as effective constructs for the design and optimization of broadband radio frequency (RF) devices. Their ability to enhance performance and reduce physical footprints is exemplified in applications such

On generalized thermoelastic dielectrics
A complete nonlinear constitutive theory of thermoelastic dielectrics including polarization effects is derived by using a modified entropy production inequality proposed by Green and Laws [1] and independently by Suhubi [2].

Combinatorial vapor deposition enables independent tuning of Cs/Pb and Br/Cl in wide‐bandgap perovskites. Automated multimodal mapping of 500+ compositions reveals a high‐energy optical transition that correlates with enhanced photoluminescence, defining a practical Cs/Pb window.

Structure and electrical properties of silica-based polyethylene nanocomposites
The topic of polymer nanocomposites remains an active area of research in the dielectrics community, due to the unique electrical properties that these materials could exhibit. To explain the behaviour of these materials, the importance of clarifying the

Three aspects of oxide dielectrics are covered (i) structure engineering: making use of crystal structure and crystal chemistry, the dielectric behaviour can be finely tuned, as illustrated in the systems (Ba, Pb) (Ti, Zr)03 and (Ba, Pb) (Ti, Nb)O3 ...

Strong Lead‐Free Bioinspired Piezoceramics for Durable Energy Transducers
We fabricated brick‐and‐mortar lead‐free piezoceramics with Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 monocrystal platelets as bricks and amorphous silica as mortar. The alignment of the bricks and the presence of the amorphous silica led to anisotropic residual stresses. These residual stresses increase the samples toughness, strength and durability while the brick alignment ...

A thermodynamic model that incorporates ferroelectric, antiferroelectric, and antiferrodistortive orders of PbZrO3${\rm PbZrO}_3$ is established and parameterized based on experimental measurements and first‐principles calculations. We derive a Clapeyron‐like equation for describing the temperature‐dependence of critical electric fields for the ...
