AbstractBackgroundInsulin resistance (IR) is linked to decreased cerebral blood flow (CBF), an Alzheimer’s disease risk factor. Previous findings of the Blood Flow Improvement Trial (BFiT, clinicaltrials.gov NCT03117829) demonstrate that reversing midlife IR associated with improved cognition, but it is unknown whether this also improves CBF.
