Experimental atherosclerosis in rabbits on diets with milk fat and different proteins [PDF]

open access: yes, 1975
In this thesis the literature about the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis has been reviewed. The various risk indicators for atherosclerosis are discussed and related to the theory about atherogenesis. A review of the influence of milk fat constituents and

Fusogenic RNA Nanomodules for Fusion‐Mediated and Multiplexed siRNA Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A fusogenic lipid‐layered RNA nanomodules (L‐CRAMs) enable high‐capacity and long‐lasting siRNA delivery through membrane fusion. These nanomodules carry exceptionally large siRNA payloads, avoid conventional endosomal uptake, and release multiple functional siRNAs through Dicer‐mediated processing.

Determinants of Dietary Quality: Evidence from Bangladesh [PDF]

open access: yes
Whereas a large number of empirical studies have been devoted to analyzing consumer demand for dietary energy (or dietary quantity), much less attention has been paid to the demand for dietary quality, an equally important aspect of food security.

The Effects of a Microbial Enzyme Mixture on Macronutrient Hydrolysis in a Static Simulation of Oro-Gastric Digestion That Models Human Digestive Senescence

open access: yesFoods
Observational studies have shown that human digestive function declines naturally with age. Oral enzyme supplementation is a candidate strategy to enhance macronutrient digestion in older adults.

Targeting CD300a Signaling With a Phosphatidylserine‐Presenting Hydrogel Rescues Macrophage Dysfunction and Accelerates Diabetic Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of the proposed mechanism: PEG/RGD‐PSLs mimic apoptotic cells to engage PS receptors (notably CD300a), transducing an inhibitory signal that suppresses the MyD88/NF‐κB pathway, leading to global anti‐inflammatory and pro‐reparative effects.

Effects of Low and High Maternal Protein Intake on Fetal Skeletal Muscle miRNAome in Sheep

open access: yesAnimals
Prenatal maternal feeding plays an important role in fetal development and has the potential to induce long-lasting epigenetic modifications. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are non-coding, single-stranded RNAs that serve as one epigenetic mechanism.

Engineered Nanoplatforms Targeting Activated Hepatic Stellate Cells for Liver Fibrosis Therapy via TGF‐β Axis Inhibition and Ferroptosis Induction

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
FeS‐VA@lanifibranor (FVL), an activated hepatic stellate cell (aHSC)‐targeted nanoplatform comprising vitamin A‐functionalized two‐dimensional iron sulfide nanosheets and lanifibranor, is engineered for precision therapy of liver fibrosis. FVL suppresses the TGF‐β signaling pathway by inhibiting SMAD2/3 phosphorylation and induces ferroptosis in aHSCs,
