Cycloaddition and Annulation Reactions with Donor‐Acceptor Cyclobutanes
Reviewing the rise of donor‐acceptor cyclobutanes in (4 + 2) annulations, from Lewis/Brønsted acid to electrocatalysis, enabling stereoselective access to complex heterocycles and natural products. Abstract Donor‐acceptor (DA) cyclobutanes are emerging as valuable synthetic intermediates due to their ring strain and polarized C─C bonds, which allow for

Carbon Dots as Nano‐Photocatalysts: A Green Tool for Indole and Heteroarenes Alkylation
A nano‐photocatalytic method for the functionalization of indoles and heteroarenes is reported. The reaction is promoted by the photocatalytic activity of carbon nanodots, which was thoroughly investigated by mechanistic studies to determine the reaction mechanism.
