Real‐time assay of ribonucleotide reductase activity with a fluorescent RNA aptamer

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ribonucleotide reductases (RNR) synthesize DNA building blocks de novo, making them crucial in DNA replication and drug targeting. FLARE introduces the first single‐tube real‐time coupled RNR assay, which enables isothermal tracking of RNR activity at nanomolar enzyme levels and allows the reconstruction of allosteric regulatory patterns and rapid ...

On difference equation with generalized dilation

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2006
We investigate the functional equation with generalized dilation in the special weighted functional spaces. We provide some sufficient conditions for the existence of the inversion operator in the same form and consider several examples.

Three Results on the Nonlinear Differential Equations and Differential-Difference Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
We mainly study the transcendental entire solutions of the differential equation f n ( z ) + P ( f ) = p 1 e α 1 z + p 2 e α 2 z , where p 1 , p 2 , α 1 and α 2 are nonzero

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Difference equation for superradiance [PDF]

open access: yes
The evolution of a completely excited system of N two-level atoms, distributed over a large region and interacting with all modes of radiation field, is studied. The distinction between r-conserving (RC) and r-nonconserving (RNC) processes is emphasized.

On Invariants for Difference Equations and Systems of Difference Equations of Rational Form

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1999
The author generalizes results of \textit{C. J. Schinas} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 216, No. 1, 164-179 (1997; Zbl 0889.39006)] on invariants of difference equations of rational form to second- and third-order autonomous and nonautonomous difference equations.

Analytical solutions of differential-difference sine-Gordon equation

open access: yes, 2017
In modern textile engineering, non-linear differential-difference equations are often used to describe some phenomena arising in heat/electron conduction and flow in carbon nanotubes.

β‐TrCP overexpression enhances cisplatin sensitivity by depleting BRCA1

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Low levels of β‐TrCP (Panel A) allow the accumulation of BRCA1 and CtIP, which facilitate the repair of cisplatin‐induced DNA damage via homologous recombination (HR) and promote tumor cell survival. In contrast, high β‐TrCP expression (Panel B) leads to BRCA1 and CtIP degradation, impairing HR repair, resulting in persistent DNA damage and apoptosis ...

Invariants for Difference Equations and Systems of Difference Equations of Rational Form

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1997
The author consideres the system of difference equations \[ x_{n+1} = \frac{a_n y_n + A}{x_{n-1}}, \qquad y_{n+1} = \frac{b_n x_n + A}{y_{n-1}}, n = 0, 1,\dots\tag{1} \] where the coefficients \(\{a_n\}\) and \(\{b_n\}\) are periodic sequences of positive numbers of period 2 and \(A\) is a positive constant. Some invariants for system (1) are presented.

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...
