Thermoelastic Extensible Timoshenko Beam with Symport Term: Singular Limits, Lack of Differentiability and Optimal Polynomial Decay

open access: yesMathematics
In this article, we consider the equations of the nonlinear model of a thermoelastic extensible Timoshenko beam, recently derived by Aouadi in the context of Fourier’s law.

A Single Layer Functional Link Artificial Neural Network based on Chebyshev Polynomials for Neural Evaluations of Nonlinear Nth Order Fuzzy Differential Equations

open access: yesAnnals of the West University of Timisoara: Mathematics and Computer Science, 2018
Bearing in mind the considerable importance of fuzzy differential equations (FDEs) in different fields of science and engineering, in this paper, nonlinear nth order FDEs are approximated, heuristically.

Randomness and differentiability

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 2015
We characterize some major algorithmic randomness notions via differentiability of effective functions. (1) As the main result we show that a real number z

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

A note on Hadamard differentiability and differentiability in quadratic mean [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We proof that Hadamard differentiability in addition with usual assumptions on the loss function for M estimates implies differentiability in quadratic mean.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

On Solutions of Linear Fractional Differential Equations with Uncertainty

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
The solutions of linear fuzzy fractional differential equations (FFDEs) under the Caputo differentiability have been investigated. To this end, the fuzzy Laplace transform was used to obtain the solutions of FFDEs.

Differentiability of solutions with respect to the delay function in functional differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2016
In this paper we consider a class of functional differential equations with time-dependent delay. We show continuous differentiability of the solution with respect to the time delay function for each fixed time value assuming natural conditions on the ...

Ε‎-Fr ´Echet Differentiability

open access: yes, 2012
This chapter treats results on ε‎-Fréchet differentiability of Lipschitz functions in asymptotically smooth spaces. These results are highly exceptional in the sense that they prove almost Frechet differentiability in some situations when we know that ...
