Higher order parallel splitting methods for parabolic partial differential equations
This thesis was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and awarded by Brunel University. The thesis develops two families of numerical methods, based upon new rational approximations to the matrix exponential function, for solving second-order ...

On the Rodrigues Formula Solution of the Hypergeometric-Type Differential Equation [PDF]
In this paper, we present a new systematic approach to the solution of the hypergeometric-like differential equation and its associated equation. The method produces, tout court, the general solution of these equations in the form of a combination of a ...

A fibering map approach to a potential operator equation and its applications
In this paper we study the existence of multiple solutions for operator equations involving homogeneous potential operators. With the help of the Nehari manifold and the fibering method, we prove that some such equations have at least two nonzero ...

Evolution equations for abstract differential operators
The author considers evolution equations (EQs) of the form \[ \begin{aligned} u'(t) &= \sum_{|\mu|\leq m} a_\mu(t) A^\mu u(t)+ f(t),\quad 0\leq t\leq T,\\ u(0) &= x,\end{aligned} \] where \(A^\mu= A^{\mu_1}_1\cdots A^{\mu_n}_n\) and \(iA_j\) are commuting generators of bounded \(C_0\)-groups on a Banach space \(X\).

Amino acids sequence of two different proteins with the same sequence (chameleon sequence—black boxes) represent in 3D structure of the proteins different secondary structures: HHHH—helical and BBB—Beta‐structural. The chains folded in water environment adopt different III‐order structures in which the chameleon fragments appear to adopt similar status

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

On logarithmic differential operators and equations in the plane
Let $k$ be a field of characteristic zero. Let $f\in k[x_{0},y_{0}]$ be an irreducible polynomial. In this article, we study the space of polynomial partial differential equations of order one in the plane, which admit $f$ as a solution. We provide algebraic characterizations of the associated graded $k[x_{0},y_{0}]$-module (by degree) of this space ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
