The braking index of millisecond magnetars [PDF]
We make the first measurement of the braking index $n$ of two putative millisecond magnetars born in short gamma-ray bursts. We measure $n=2.9\pm0.1$ and $n=2.6\pm0.1$ for millisecond magnetars born in GRB 130603B and GRB 140903A respectively.

Differential rotation decay in the radiative envelopes of CP stars
Stars of spectral classes A and late B are almost entirely radiative. CP stars are a slowly rotating subgroup of these stars. It is possible that they possessed long-lived accretion disks in their T Tauri phase.

Close binary evolution I. The tidally induced shear mixing in rotating binaries
We study how tides in a binary system induce some specific internal shear mixing, able to substantially modify the evolution of close binaries prior to mass transfer. We construct numerical models accounting for tidal interactions, meridional circulation,

Can Ti‐Based MXenes Serve as Solid Lubricants for Brake Applications? A Tribological Study
This study explores the first implementation of Ti‐based MXenes materials in brake pad friction composite material. The resulting composite material exhibits a 48% reduction in the wear rate; alongside significant improvements are observed for thermal and mechanical properties.

Research and Application of Distributed Automatic Test Technology for Line Longitudinal Difference
Aiming at the problems of the joint debugging test of optical fiber differential protection, the two terminal testers can not achieve synchronous control, and carry out the fault test of both sides and automatic test of ratio braking characteristics.

Collapse and black hole formation in magnetized, differentially rotating neutron stars [PDF]
The capacity to model magnetohydrodynamical (MHD) flows in dynamical, strongly curved spacetimes significantly extends the reach of numerical relativity in addressing many problems at the forefront of theoretical astrophysics.
