Bacterial Count and Cell Differentiation in Milk
Nature, 1965A METHOD has been developed in this laboratory which has been found to be superior to the Breed-type smears such as are routinely used for assessing the bacteriological quality of cow's milk. The technique not only stains the bacteria, but also the somatic cells in such a way that the various cell-types may be satisfactorily differentiated and ...

[Cell count and differential cell count in goat milk--variability and influencing factors].
Tierarztliche Praxis. Ausgabe G, Grosstiere/Nutztiere, 1999In a total of 413 dairy goats of different breeds from five herds (milk performance 550-1000 kg) somatic cell counts and cell types were investigated in fore milk samples from udder halves, in composed udder and bulk milk samples. Cytoplasmatic particles in the milk were not counted. Three herds were investigated monthly during two years.

Differential White Cell Count After Two Bouts of Downhill Running
International Journal of Sports Medicine, 1998The purpose of this study was to compare blood markers associated with eccentrically biased exercise and muscle damage, after two bouts of downhill running. Nine active, untrained males performed 2 x 45 min bouts of downhill running (-0.16 radians), at a speed that would elicit 70% of each subjects VO2max, on a level grade; runs were spaced 14d apart ...

Hematology: Automated White Blood Cell Differential Counting by Flow-Analysis
Clinics in Laboratory Medicine, 1981Technology assessments performed in conjunction with the development and introduction of flow-analysis automated white blood cell differential counters emphasize that methods comparisons in laboratory medicine are difficult when there are marked differences in analytical precision between methods and when the sources of methodologic errors are ...

[New technology of automated blood cell differential counting].
Rinsho byori. The Japanese journal of clinical pathology, 1998Examination of stained peripheral blood films for evaluation of erythrocyte and platelet morphology and leukocyte differential count provides considerable data for diagnosis of various diseases including hematologic disorders. Since 1980, the use of an automated leukocyte differentiation analyzer has become common in large clinical laboratories.
