On-chip differential mode group delay manipulation based on 3D waveguides

open access: yesChip
Mode-division multiplexing based on few-mode optical fiber is a promising technology to increase the transmission capacity of optical communication systems, where multi-input multi-output (MIMO) digital signal processing (DSP) is employed to (de ...

Differential Group Delay of the Frequency Following Response Measured Vertically and Horizontally. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Assoc Res Otolaryngol, 2016
The frequency following response (FFR) arises from the sustained neural activity of a population of neurons that are phase locked to periodic acoustic stimuli. Determining the source of the FFR noninvasively may be useful for understanding the function of phase locking in the auditory pathway to the temporal envelope and fine structure of sounds.

Systems of advance-delay differential-difference equations and transformation groups

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
A linear system of mixed-type differential difference equations is studied. A step derivation method and some conditions on an initial function are used to guarantee existence, uniqueness and smoothness of the solution.

Design and Analysis of Z-Trench-Assisted 9-LP-Mode Fiber With Low Differential Modal Group Delay and High Spatial Density

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
We present a novel Z-trench-assisted (Z-TA) graded index 9-LP-mode fiber that significantly suppresses the maximum absolute differential modal group delay (Max $\vert $ DMGD $\vert$ ) while obtaining a high normalized spatial density (NSD).

The Effect of BDS-3 Time Group Delay and Differential Code Bias Corrections on Positioning

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The timing group delay parameter (TGD) or differential code bias parameter (DCB) is an important factor that affects the performance of GNSS basic services; therefore, TGD and DCB must be taken seriously.

Bending and twisting effects on multicore fiber differential group delay

open access: yesOptics Express, 2019
In this paper we provide the theoretical and experimental evaluation of fiber bending and twisting effects on the group delay performance of a homogeneous 7-core fiber. We have experimentally evaluated the differential group delay between the central and outer cores for different curvature radii and twisting conditions, demonstrating that fiber ...

Topological Structure of the Solution Sets for Impulsive Fractional Neutral Differential Inclusions with Delay and Generated by a Non-Compact Demi Group

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2022
In this paper, we give an affirmative answer to a question about the sufficient conditions which ensure that the set of mild solutions for a fractional impulsive neutral differential inclusion with state-dependent delay, generated by a non-compact semi ...
